Join The Tacoma Tool Library Board of Directors!

Do you love the idea of a community based, not-for-profit tool lending library? Are you passionate about our mission? A group of dedicated volunteers are responsible for the financial health and program quality of Tacoma Tool Library (TTL). Learn more about our mission at About – Tacoma Tool Library

We are seeking qualified and motivated individuals to fill open seats on the TTL board.

Below are the three main skills we are looking for:

  1. Financial management
  2. Fund development
  3. Nonprofit governance

The main board member responsibilities include:

  • Attend monthly board meetings, having read that month’s board packet ahead of the meeting. Meetings are in-person with an online option as needed.
  • Participate in one of the following sub-committees: Finance, Governance, Operations or Marketing & Communications. Most committees meet monthly online.
  • 4–8 hours a month time commitment

In aligning with our mission, we expect TTL to be a welcoming and inclusive place, particularly for groups who are not traditionally encouraged to use tools. People from historically marginalized communities are welcome and encouraged to join our board.
